It's an honor. When a teacher opens the doors of the classroom to a coach, it is saying, "I trust you. I'm being vulnerable right now so I can learn and grow". As a coach, when I understand the impact of this simple yet grand gesture, it changes and influences my perspectives. Because that is the most important step of all...when someone feels comfortable with you coming into their space, their world. Recognizing that honor every single time it happens keeps a coach like myself, humbled and grateful. Every time. From there, you can start building. Little by little. No need to rush. Remembering that our students bloom at their own time is no different for teachers. Keep it simple. Keep it small. But keep it consistent. The rest will follow.

Part of my day, I work alongside with English language learners in the classroom part of my day.
